Factory Reset Using Push-Buttons#
Added in version r7.16.
In an event that the clock gets to state that it does not work properly due to incorrect configuration or it is not possible to connect to the clock via Ethernet, the situation can be solved by invoking the factory settings from the clock menu Factory Reset (SYSt menu item c1 ).
However, this can be a problem in very extreme cases where a misconfiguration has caused the clock to enter a reset loop. At this point, the clock menu cannot be accessed.
A new factory reset has also been added using a push-buttons press conbination that should solve the problem.
Procedure#
Connect the clock to power supply.
Press and hold PB1 and PB2 push-buttons at the same time.
Restart the clock by briefly pressing the reset button while holding PB1 and PB2 push-buttons at the same time.
Hint
The reset button is located inside of the clock on clock’s control module located on PCB.
First, you need to dismount the front cover and plexiglass (click here ) and you also need to dismount the clock PCB.
The button is small yellow button labeled
RST
.Hold both PB1 and PB2 push-buttons until
FAC
appears on the clock display (in approx. 5 seconds).Release PB1 and PB2 push-buttons. The clock restarts to factory settings.
